Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled orthopaedic surgeon / orthopedic surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in orthopaedic surgery, musculoskeletal disorders, trauma care, joint surgery, and both surgical and non-surgical treatment, with a commitment to patient safety, functional recovery, and excellent clinical outcomes.
The successful candidate will work closely with physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, sports medicine physicians, rheumatologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive orthopedic consultations and musculoskeletal assessments.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions affecting bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons.
Develop individualized surgical and non-surgical treatment plans based on clinical findings and diagnostic investigations.
Perform elective and emergency orthopedic surgical procedures within the approved clinical scope.
Perform procedures such as fracture fixation, arthroscopy, joint replacement, and other orthopedic interventions according to clinical expertise.
Assess and manage orthopedic trauma including fractures, dislocations, ligament injuries, and soft-tissue injuries.
Manage degenerative joint conditions, sports injuries, deformities, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders.
Perform pre-operative assessments and discuss appropriate surgical and non-surgical treatment options with patients.
Review and interpret X-rays, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, and other diagnostic imaging relevant to orthopedic conditions.
Provide comprehensive post-operative care and monitor patients for complications.
Develop appropriate rehabilitation and recovery plans in collaboration with physiotherapists and rehabilitation specialists.
Manage patients with osteoarthritis, joint pain, tendon disorders, and other chronic orthopedic conditions.
Provide appropriate conservative treatment including medication, immobilization, exercise recommendations, and rehabilitation where indicated.
Coordinate multidisciplinary care for complex orthopedic cases.
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgery, recovery, and injury prevention.
Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential patient records.
Participate in surgical rounds, clinical audits, quality improvement, patient-safety initiatives, and continuing professional development.
