Requirements
QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.Certification in Quality Control or Concrete Technology is preferred.Membership in professional engineering organizations is an advantage.3-7 years of experience in concrete batching plants, ready-mix concrete, construction materials testing, or quality control.Experience in laboratory and field concrete testing.Familiarity with ASTM, ACI, BS, or equivalent concrete standards.

Job SummaryThe QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, concrete production processes, and finished concrete products comply with company specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards. The role involves conducting laboratory and field testing, monitoring production quality, maintaining quality records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure consistent concrete quality.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & AssuranceMonitor and control the quality of concrete produced at the batching plant.Ensure compliance with project specifications, customer requirements, and relevant standards (ASTM, BS, EN, ACI, or local standards).Establish and implement quality control procedures and testing programs.Review and approve concrete mix designs and trial mixes.Raw Material Inspection & TestingConduct quality inspections and testing of cement, aggregates, admixtures, water, and other materials.Verify suppliers' certificates and ensure compliance with approved specifications.Monitor storage conditions of raw materials to prevent quality deterioration.Concrete TestingPerform fresh concrete tests including:Slump TestAir Content TestTemperature TestDensity TestSupervise casting, curing, and testing of concrete specimens.Evaluate compressive strength test results and identify trends.Plant Quality MonitoringMonitor batching operations to ensure accurate proportioning and mixing.Verify calibration of batching equipment, weighing systems, and testing instruments.Investigate quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.Documentation & ReportingMaintain laboratory and quality control records.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.Record test results and issue quality compliance reports.Ensure traceability of production batches and test data.
