Job DescriptionThe Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer will be a key member of the IT Project Delivery team, responsible for owning the infrastructure domain across projects. This role represents a senior technical authority, accountable for ensuring that all infrastructure solutions are properly designed, validated, and delivered in line with organizational standards, project requirements, and governance frameworks. The candidate is expected to operate with a high level of independence, providing technical leadership, design assurance, and vendor control, while ensuring that all infrastructure deliverables are complete, compliant, and ready for handover.ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Authority & OwnershipAct as the lead authority for infrastructure within assigned projects. Own all infrastructure-related decisions, validations, and outcomes. Ensure solutions are aligned with business needs, technical standards, and long-term sustainability. Project Delivery LeadershipLead the infrastructure scope across all project phases (design, implementation, validation, and closure). Ensure delivery meets agreed timelines, milestones, and quality expectations. Proactively identify risks and enforce corrective actions. Vendor Governance & ControlTake full ownership of technical engagement with vendors and system integrators. Review, challenge, and approve all vendor deliverables. Enforce accountability and ensure vendors meet contractual and technical obligations. Design Assurance & GovernanceReview and approve architecture designs, HLDs, and LLDs. Ensure consistency, completeness, and adherence to standards. Identify design gaps, conflicts, and risks, and drive resolution. Cross-Domain CoordinationEnsure alignment between infrastructure, applications, and security domains. Validate readiness for system integrations and project dependencies. Handover & Delivery ClosureEnsure all infrastructure deliverables are complete prior to handover. Validate readiness for transition to operations teams.
