R&M Technician IV – Liner Hanger

Job Overview

The R&M Technician IV – Liner Hanger is responsible for performing repair, maintenance, inspection, assembly, disassembly, and testing activities on liner hanger and related downhole equipment. The role ensures that all tools are maintained to the highest quality and safety standards while supporting operational requirements and customer expectations. The technician will work closely with workshop, quality, and operations teams to deliver reliable equipment for field operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repair and maintenance activities on liner hanger systems and associated downhole tools. 
• Conduct assembly, disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of equipment according to company procedures. 
• Diagnose equipment failures and recommend corrective actions. 
• Ensure all maintenance records, inspection reports, and documentation are accurately completed. 
• Maintain compliance with company quality, HSE, and operational standards. 
• Support inventory control and management of spare parts and consumables. 
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Ensure workshop equipment and work areas are maintained in a safe and organized condition. 
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support customer requirements and equipment readiness. 
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and industry best practices. 

Skills :

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. 
• Knowledge of liner hanger systems and downhole oilfield equipment. 
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and procedures. 
• Familiarity with workshop tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment. 
• Understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. 
• Good communication and teamwork skills. 
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Repair & Maintenance (R&M), preferably with Liner Hanger systems, completion tools, or similar downhole oil & gas equipment. 
• Experience in assembly, testing, inspection, and repair of oilfield equipment. 
• Knowledge of industry standards, quality requirements, and HSE practices. 
• Previous experience in an oil & gas service company environment is preferred. 
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance documentation systems.
