The successful candidate will provide comprehensive anesthesia and perioperative care for patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures, with a strong focus on patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes. Current UAE roles typically emphasize pre-operative assessment, anesthesia planning, intraoperative monitoring, post-anesthesia care, airway management, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and review medical history, investigations, medications, and relevant risk factors. Develop individualized anesthesia plans based on the patient's condition and planned procedure. Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia and sedation as clinically appropriate. Monitor patients continuously during anesthesia and surgical procedures. Maintain airway management and respond promptly to airway emergencies and other anesthetic complications. Manage patients undergoing elective and emergency surgical procedures. Provide post-anesthesia care and monitor patients during recovery. Assess and manage acute and perioperative pain using appropriate evidence-based techniques. Recognize and manage anesthesia-related complications and medical emergencies, including resuscitation when required. Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and other members of the perioperative team. Provide anesthesia care for patients with complex medical conditions and assess perioperative risks appropriately. Maintain accurate anesthesia records, clinical documentation, and patient medical records. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection-control procedures, patient-safety standards, and applicable UAE healthcare regulations. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, multidisciplinary meetings, and continuing medical education. Requirements MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution. Recognized postgraduate qualification in anesthesiology or anaesthesiology. Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification. Relevant post-specialization clinical experience. Strong knowledge of modern anesthesia techniques, patient monitoring, airway management, and emergency care. Ability to manage high-risk and complex anesthesia cases.
