Requirements
Candidates should have knowledge and experience with oilfield equipment and service work, as well as experience with schematics and blueprints. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. A valid Class 5 driver's license and Passport are necessary. Alberta Industry Training- Apprenticeship/Journeyperson program in Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanic is an asset. A Bachelor's degree, Technical diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering is also an asset.

Job Summary:

Field Service Technicians perform a variety of tasks such as servicing, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and repair of equipment. A Field Service Technician is required to travel to well site locations that are located regionally or internationally. Focus of this Field Service Technician will be in mechanical service.

We are looking for candidates with basic Electrical and Mechanical Skills, able to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Material Handling- moving material including the use of overhead cranes, Jib cranes or Forklifts.
  • Mechanical and/or Electrical/Electronics servicing, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and repair.
  • Cleaning and management of assigned tools and vehicle.
  • Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • 24-hour on-call duties required at given times.
  • Maintain strong business relationship with existing clients.
  • Communicate with a FS Manager or Supervisor regularly, on all aspects of service.
  • Complete reporting, job and billing paper work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
