Role overview
The successful candidate will provide consultant-level endocrinology and diabetes care within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Diagnose and manage diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, pituitary diseases, osteoporosis, metabolic disorders, and hormonal conditions.
Develop personalised treatment plans using evidence-based medication, lifestyle management, monitoring, and preventive strategies.
Interpret hormonal investigations, dynamic endocrine testing, imaging, glucose monitoring, and metabolic risk profiles.
Manage complex endocrine and metabolic conditions and provide long-term follow-up and disease management.
Collaborate with ophthalmology, nephrology, cardiology, bariatric surgery, obstetrics, dietetics, and other specialties for integrated patient care.
Support diabetes education, continuous glucose monitoring, insulin therapy, diabetes technology, and prevention of long-term complications.
Participate in clinical audits, guideline development, quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance.
Requirements

UK CCT / MRCP with recognised endocrinology training

DM / DNB / FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification in endocrinology
