The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and inspiring his or her team to achieve their performance metrics. Your role will involve strategizing, project management, part staff management. Your collaborative attitude and interpersonal skills will help you thrive as an Engineering Manager.ResponsibilitiesOrganizing and managing the procedures for the distribution and review of Design, Shop Drawings, and As-Built documentation for Civil, Architectural, and Structural disciplines. This includes directing and following up with a dedicated technical office review team. As the current team has seen recent departures, the candidate will need to evaluate resource gaps and support recommendations to the Client for additional hiring.Updating the Client on submittal progress, participating in technical workshops to resolve issues with the Contractor's design team, and coordinating the proper planning of contractor submittals.Managing lenders site visits and progress reports in close coordination with the internal team and the Client.Overseeing the established review process for MEP and Systems submittals. While technical input will be provided directly by our specialized engineers, the candidate must actively manage the overall process, bridge execution gaps, ensure timely completion, and lead meetings with the Client and Contractor. Because this technical team is also lean due to recent staff departures, the candidate will be expected to determine any further resource needs and justify them to the Client.Providing comprehensive engineering input for the monthly progress report submitted to the Client.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng) or equivalent degree from a recognized university.Candidate must have at least 15 years rail design/engineering experience.Candidate must possess a broad experience in the same position and leading the designs of both Civil and Systems, with special ·emphasis on issues of constructability design and protection of buildings and infrastructures.This experience must cover all the works concerning stations, guideway and ancillary works, as well as architectural, railway systems, rolling stock and interconnections with railway and MEP systems.Knowledge of the main systems used in the monorail and associated systems, of the safety requirements for the designs, according to international standards and accepted best practice and shall have a basic knowledge of the railway operations.Ability to lead and guide others in the implementation of Rail standards.
