Horizon English School Town Square is currently recruiting a Head of MOE Subjects for an April 2027 start.
The Head of MOE Subjects is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of Arabic, Islamic Studies, Social Studies and MSC across the school.
At Horizon, everyone counts, everyone contributes, and everyone succeeds. The role also provides cultural insight and leadership, ensuring that local context, the Arabic language and UAE values are reflected in whole school decision making.
About Horizon Town Square:
Opening in September 2027, Horizon English School Town Square will bring over 35 years of educational excellence from our outstanding Jumeirah campus to the heart of Town Square Dubai.
An all-through British curriculum school for ages 3-18, the new campus will launch with FS1 to Year 8, growing year by year to Year 13.

Role & Responsibilities:
Transformational education
Design and lead a coherent MOE curriculum across phases, aligned with regulatory requirements and Horizon’s educational principles
Ensure high quality teaching, learning and assessment in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Social Studies and MSC
Monitor student progress and use data to inform improvement and intervention
Ensure curriculum provision meets Ministry requirements while maintaining high expectations for all learners
Empowered people and leadership
Lead, line manage and develop leaders and teachers across MOE subjects
Build a high performing, collaborative and culturally responsive team
Coach and support teachers to develop strong subject knowledge and pedagogy
Contribute to leadership across the wider school and Cognita network
Establish effective systems for the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of MOE subjects
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and inspection requirements
Oversee assessment processes, reporting and record keeping
Contribute to staffing, timetabling and resource planning for MOE subjects
Extending impact
Provide cultural insight to the Executive Leadership Team to inform whole school decisions
Promote the importance of Arabic language and Islamic values within the school community
Build strong relationships with parents, the wider community and regulatory bodies
Contribute to Horizon’s reputation as a school that values both international excellence and local identity
