Together, these initiatives reflect M42's commitment to healthier communities and a more sustainable future.Lead and support research and development initiatives within the Chemistry Department, driving innovation through method development, validation, verification, and the implementation of advanced analytical technologies. Expand laboratory testing capabilities, provide scientific and technical expertise, and ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards. Manage R&D projects, deliver high-quality scientific outputs, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance analytical services, introduce emerging technologies, and support the organization's strategic and scientific objectives.ResponsibilitiesLead and execute research and development projects, including analytical method development, optimization, validation, and verification.Design, conduct, interpret, and report analytical chemistry experiments to support scientific and operational objectives.Develop and implement analytical methods using advanced instrumentation, including HPLC, GC-MS, LC-HRMS, GC-HRMS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, NMR, IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.Author, review, and maintain technical documentation, including protocols, SOPs, validation reports, scientific publications, and client reports.Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present scientific work at conferences and technical forums.Provide technical expertise and scientific consultation to clients, project teams, and key stakeholders.Oversee instrument maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring in collaboration with service providers.Train, mentor, and assess the competency of laboratory personnel while fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.Ensure compliance with quality management systems, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, regulatory standards, and audit expectations.Manage laboratory inventory, reagents, reference materials, and consumables to support uninterrupted operations.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency, service quality, and analytical capabilities.Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in analytical chemistry and laboratory sciences.QualificationsPhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.Demonstrated record of scientific achievement through publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific conferences.Minimum of three (3) years of postdoctoral, industrial, academic, or research laboratory experience in analytical chemistry or a related field.Proven expertise in analytical method development, validation, and troubleshooting using advanced analytical instrumentation.Experience working within ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories or comparable quality and regulatory environments.Strong scientific writing, technical reporting, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to lead research projects, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and translate scientific findings into practical solutions.
