The successful candidate will provide expert neurological care to adult patients, manage complex neurological conditions, and contribute to clinical leadership, quality improvement, education, and multidisciplinary patient care. The senior consultant will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with a broad range of neurological disorders while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and evidence-based clinical practice. Key responsibilities Provide comprehensive specialist consultation, diagnosis, and management of patients with neurological disorders. Evaluate and manage complex and acute neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, headaches, and neurodegenerative conditions. Assess and manage neurological emergencies and critically ill patients in collaboration with emergency and critical care teams. Interpret and utilize relevant neurological investigations, including MRI, CT, EEG, EMG/NCS, and other diagnostic studies. Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate follow-up and continuity of care. Provide expert consultation to physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, fellows, and other clinical staff. Participate in clinical teaching, training, and continuing medical education. Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practice. Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in accordance with institutional policies. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, on-call duties, and other clinical activities as required.
