Description
Responsibilities:Study tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand the scope of mechanical works required for cost estimation.Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems, in line with tender drawings.Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for mechanical materials and works to build accurate cost estimates.Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions for mechanical scopes, ensuring compliance with client and consultant requirements.Analyze mechanical specifications and drawings to identify potential risks, ambiguities, and value engineering opportunities.Support the preparation of technical clarifications and queries to be raised with clients and consultants during the tender stage.Maintain a database of historical mechanical pricing, supplier quotations, and productivity rates to support future estimates.Assist in the preparation of method statements and technical proposals for mechanical works as part of tender submissions.Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain technical and commercial proposals within tender timelines.Support post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and adjudication activities as required.Ensure tender documentation and estimates are properly filed and archived for future reference and audits.Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldGood knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting) and tendering/estimation processes.
