Responsibilities
Lead operational due diligence on hospitals and healthcare services targets, evaluating management calibre, clinical standards, revenue cycle maturity, and cost base.
Shape operational investment theses with deal teams, identifying value creation levers and risks.
Deliver pre-close benchmarks and 100-day operational plans for target assets.
Advise on management assessment and post-close organisational design.
Direct portfolio-wide operational transformation: hospital efficiency, capacity utilisation, procurement, workforce productivity, and revenue cycle improvement.
Implement performance management frameworks across varied regulatory environments and geographies.
Build and mentor local operating teams to embed sustainable capability.
Track and report operational KPIs to investment leadership, coordinating remediation where needed.
Manage relationships with clinical and non-clinical leadership at portfolio companies.
Contribute to healthcare strategy, market prioritisation, partnerships, and co-investor engagement.
Support exit readiness, including operating data rooms and buyer Q&A.
Requirements

Early grounding at a tier-one consultancy with clear healthcare services focus.
Direct accountability for performance improvement within a major private hospital group or integrated operator (US or Europe).
Exposure to pre-acquisition diligence or deal-side operational advisory advantageous.
International experience; emerging/developing markets strongly preferred.
Deep fluency in hospital operations: clinical workflow, capacity management, revenue cycle, procurement, staffing models, regulatory compliance.
Proven programme management across multi-workstream transformations in complex institutions.
Commercial acumen, including financial modelling, EBITDA improvement planning, and board-level reporting.
Credible with senior clinical, operational and investor stakeholders; able to operate across cultures.
