Construction Supervisor (Mechanical)Location: Mesaieed, QatarSector: Oil & Gas (Midstream / Downstream)Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor (Mechanical) to support the construction, installation, inspection, testing, and pre-commissioning phases of a major Oil & Gas project.RequirementsDegree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)Formal QA/QC functional trainingMinimum 10 years experience in Oil & Gas construction projectsProven experience in Static and Rotating Equipment InstallationExperience coordinating inspections during Midstream and/or Downstream facility construction of Oil and Gas Mandatory experience as an EPIC Contractor SupervisorExperience as a Client or PMC Supervisor preferredStrong knowledge of international standards and specifications including ASME, ANSI, API, ISO, NFPA, Shell DEP and related industry codesExperience with FAT, equipment alignment, inspection activities, pressure testing, punch list management, mechanical completion and pre-commissioningExtensive knowledge of coating systems including painting, galvanizing, wrapping, insulation and related preservation requirementsExperience working in Greenfield and Brownfield environmentsStrong understanding of PTW, LOTO, tie-ins to live facilities, construction testing and commissioning interfacesAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, mechanical drawings and manufacturer documentation. Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise static and rotating equipment installation activitiesCoordinate inspections, RFIs and testing activitiesMonitor contractor compliance with approved procedures, specifications and project requirementsSupport mechanical completion, punch close-out and pre-commissioning activitiesInterface with QA/QC, HSE, vendors and project stakeholders to ensure safe and quality execution of work.
