Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, dialysis teams, and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Manage acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, electrolyte disorders, glomerular disease, and hypertension.
Oversee haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and renal replacement therapy planning according to patient needs.
Provide inpatient nephrology consultations and outpatient continuity of care for patients with complex renal conditions.
Coordinate patient care with urology, vascular surgery, cardiology, endocrinology, intensive care, and transplant teams.
Guide medication optimisation, renal nutrition, patient education, and prevention of renal complications.
Support dialysis quality indicators, infection control, clinical audits, and renal service governance initiatives.
