Position: Head of Section – Patient AccessLocation: Dubai, UAEJob PurposeLead and oversee patient access operations, ensuring efficient patient registration, scheduling, admissions, insurance verification, and front-desk services, while maintaining data accuracy, operational efficiency, and a high standard of patient experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage Patient Access operations across healthcare facilities.Develop and monitor policies, procedures, and workflows related to registration and admissions.Ensure accurate patient demographic, medical, and insurance information.Oversee insurance verification and authorization processes.Monitor KPIs such as registration accuracy, waiting times, patient satisfaction, and service efficiency.Coordinate with clinical, finance, insurance, and other departments to ensure seamless patient flow.Oversee payment collection and compliance with billing and revenue cycle requirements.Drive initiatives to improve patient experience and service quality.Manage staffing, workload distribution, performance, coaching, and staff development.Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and improvement plans.Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field.Master's degree is preferred.8–10 years of experience in a healthcare setting.Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.Proven experience managing patient access/front-desk operations, preferably in a large hospital or healthcare system.Experience managing 24/7 front-desk operations in a high-pressure environment.Strong leadership, team management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and patient satisfaction metrics.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Salama is an advantage.
