Who are we looking for?   

We’re looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our team in the East! This is a unique role for the right person, where you will have the potential to work alongside our senior staff to develop your professional skills within our team.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 

  • Performing a wide variety of field duties for both routine/scheduled and emergency environmental projects to include: inspection, maintenance, monitoring, construction oversight, air monitoring, to support on going operations of municipal solid waste facilities and remediation sites
  • Conducting environmental sampling and monitoring for various media and contaminants of concern by following established procedures
  • Opportunity to respond to environmental emergencies across the country to perform field tasks and monitor environmental impacts on behalf of our clients
  • Work with senior staff in the preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, technical reports, work plans, and project specifications including cost estimates and budgets - Data compilation, reduction, interpretation, evaluation/comparison to environmental regulatory standards
  • Expand on your education and experience to perform detailed calculations in support of the design of solid waste management facilities and remediation systems
  • Support senior staff in development of Permit Applications/Renewals as related to operations of municipal solid waste facilities, contaminated sites and industrial facilities
  • Support activities associated with design, construction, and operation of Landfill Gas Control (LFG) and biogas collection and control systems including but not limited to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) plants
  • Support clients with in-house EHS/permit compliance tasks, including updating SPCCs/SPRs, SPDES permitting/inspections/compliance, chemical and petroleum bulk storage compliance, TRI reporting, etc.
  • Coordination of routine sampling projects and reporting for post-closure site monitoring for both brownfield and solid waste sites 

 

What you will bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering
  • 0-2 years of experience in the environmental industries
  • Prior experience with SPCC/SPR, SPDES, and/or report preparation is desired but not required
  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD is a benefit, advanced (design) experience is a plus
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to travel and perform field work as needed
