Senior Signalling Commissioning Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Signalling Commissioning Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 7 months
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Experience requirements and qualifications required:
Total experience required: Typically, 5 to 10+ years
Relevant experience required: Proven testing and commissioning experience in the railway or transit domain
Industry-specific experience: Specifically with signalling equipment (track circuits, point machines, signals, and interlocking)
Minimum qualification required: A degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Electronics, Railway Systems, or a related technical discipline
Key responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and execute testing and commissioning activities for railway signalling systems from the installation phase through to revenue operation.
Prepare test procedures, method statements, and commissioning reports in compliance with company and industry guidelines.
Analyse and resolve system malfunctions and disturbances, developing action plans to meet system performance targets.
Liaise with technical project managers, system engineers, and customers to ensure readiness reviews are conducted and corrective actions are tracked.
Ensure all on-site testing activities adhere to strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
Technical and domain skills:
Hands-on experience with testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, scopemeters).
Reading electrical circuit drawings.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Preferred skills:
Flexibility to work unconventional hours, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, depending on the project's migration phases.
