✨ AI Summary
The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing production-grade microservices, managing dependencies, and enabling distributed tracing. Key duties include leading Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to transform monoliths into event-driven microservices, building RESTful APIs, implementing circuit breakers, and producing OpenAPI documentation. The role also involves designing and optimizing normalized schemas, executing plan analysis, table partitioning, indexing, and authoring SQL and PL/SQL stored procedures for enterprise databases. Additionally, the engineer will architect event-driven systems, develop and maintain UIs, build reusable components, integrate frontends with backend microservices, and plan/execute migrations from monoliths to microservices. Building CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, quality gates, security scanning, blue-green deployments, orchestrating Kubernetes, and implementing observability are also core responsibilities. The position requires producing technical design artifacts and designing database schemas.

Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop production-grade microservices, manage dependencies, and enable distributed tracing. Lead DDD to transform monoliths into event-driven microservices. Build RESTful APIs, implement circuit breakers, and produce OpenAPI documentation. Design and optimize normalized schemas, execution plan analysis, table partitioning, indexing; author SQL and PL/SQL stored procedures for Terabyte-scale, high-concurrency enterprise databases. Architect event-driven systems. Develop and maintain UIs, build reusable, responsive components, and integrate frontends with backend microservices APIs. Plan and execute migrations from monolith to microservices, create stored procedures and RESTful APIs for migration, and write scripts to bulk-migrate records with data validation and error handling. Build CI/CD and add automated testing, SonarQube quality gates, security scanning, and blue-green deployments. Orchestrate Kubernetes with HPA, resource quotas, Helm charts, and infrastructure-as-code to lower deployment costs and MTTR. Implement observability, add distributed tracing, and configure custom dashboards and alerts for proactive incident management. Produce technical design artifacts, system architecture, sequence, activity, and data flow diagrams. Design database schemas and entity relationships for enterprise applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires 1 (one) year of experience with the following: Utilizing back-end development to deliver enterprise apps processing high-volume production transactions; Building enterprise workflow systems supporting multi-stage business processes, stakeholder collaboration, compliance controls, and integration with downstream systems; Conducting memory management and GC tuning using Java 8+ including lambdas, Streams API, concurrent programming; Developing Spring Boot applications; Implementing RESTful APIs, API Gateway patterns, and distributed tracing using microservices with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security; Authoring queries including multi-table joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions using PL and SQL stored procedure SQL technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle; Designing and structuring relational database schemas using normalization principles, keys, constraints, and ERDs to ensure data integrity, eliminate redundancy, and optimize query performance; Packaging applications into lightweight, portable Docker containers using Dockerfiles, multi-stage builds, and compose files, then managing images, networking, and production configurations across registries and environments; Orchestrating containerized workloads at scale using Kubernetes clusters, kubectl commands, and Helm charts to deploy, configure, autoscale, and secure distributed services across environments; Automating the full software delivery lifecycle through Jenkins pipelines that build, test, and deploy code across environments, while provisioning infrastructure- as-code with tools including Jenkins and MJules; Performing version control using Git and Bitbucket; Providing legacy system support during modernization using Documentum API. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: Conducting performance profiling and benchmarking, root cause analysis, and resolving escalated production issues; Python scripting for automation and data processing, including data validation and error handling; Building Micro Frontend architectures with React, Node.js, and Webpack Module Federation; Decomposing monoliths and implementing routing strategies including host-based, shared, Memory Router, and event-driven for seamless inter-module navigation.
