Job purpose:
To manage and strengthen Identity and Access Management operations and solutions, including governance, provisioning, access reviews, and segregation of duties, ensuring secure access, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement in line with banking regulations and internal security standards.
Responsibilities:
IAM operations & access governance
Independently manage end-to-end IAM requests including user onboarding, access modification, role assignment, and off-boarding (EOS / LWD).
Ensure access is granted strictly on least privilege, HR designation, and approved business justification.
Execute and supervise role removals, account disabling, and deletions across enterprise applications in line with IAM standards.
Handle high-priority and bulk access requests while meeting defined SLAs and escalation expectations.
IAM systems & application onboarding
Own IAM requirements during new system onboarding and handovers, ensuring security matrices, user manuals, and IAM documentation are complete and approved.
Validate that roles are aligned to HR roles, dual controls (maker-checker), and dynamic segregation of duties.
Participate in UAT, sign-off, and post-go-live stabilisation activities for new or enhanced applications.
Policy compliance, audit & risk support
Ensure IAM processes comply with internal policies, regulatory expectations, and audit requirements.
Support internal, external, and regulatory audits by providing evidence, walkthroughs, and remediation actions.
Track and close IAM-related audit observations and ensure no system is handed over with open IAM findings.
Access reviews & certifications
Execute and support periodic user access certification reviews (e.g., RSA IGA, application-level reviews).
Analyse certification outcomes, follow up on exceptions, and ensure timely remediation.
Provide management updates on certification status, risks, and trends.
Stakeholder & vendor management
Act as the primary IAM point of contact for Business, Technology, HR, and external vendors.
Coordinate with IAM platform vendors (e.g., RSA / IGA) to resolve fulfilment issues, retries, and technical constraints.
Provide clear guidance and decisions during conflicts between business urgency and security governance.
Process improvement & documentation
Maintain IAM process documents, functional specifications (FSDs), and operating procedures.
Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, or automation opportunities and propose improvements.
Contribute to IAM strategy, roadmap enhancements, and maturity improvements on IGA solution.
About the Company
In 1969, when we at Commercial Bank of Dubai started out little did we know that sheer grit and determination would get us where we are today. An Emiri Decree issued by His Highness the Late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the founder of modern Dubai, laid the cornerstone of Commercial Bank of Dubai. We started out as a joint venture of Commerzbank, Chase Manhattan Bank and Commercial Bank of Kuwait. A minority stake was held by a few UAE businessmen.
By 1982, little more than a decade later, we evolved into a National Public Shareholding company. A feat complimented by an exponential increase in the capital base and mammoth restructuring of our operations. The feather in the cap came when the Government of Dubai became a key shareholder.
Over the decades, we have transformed ourselves into a progressive and modern banking institution. We are supported by a sturdy financial base and reigned by a strong and stable management. The proof of which lies with our customers who have stood by us over the years.
