Description
As a Senior DevOps Engineer II, you will shape how infrastructure is built, secured, and operated across the Mondia platform. You will own the delivery experience for engineering teams - making pipelines, deployments, and environments faster, safer, and more autonomous. You will drive the designof shared cloud infrastructure, observability strategy, and disaster recovery alongside a distributed infrastructure team spanning Hamburg, Dubai, and Cairo. In this role, you combine deep technical expertise with informal leadership to raise the standard of operational excellence across the group.Roles and Responsibilities Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, designing multi-account network topologies, service deployments, and disaster recovery strategiesOwn and evolve CI/CD pipelines across multiple product lines, with a focus on reliability, speed, and maintainabilityOwn and evolve Infrastructure as Code (OpenTofu/Terraform, AWS CDK/TypeScript), maintaining reusable module libraries and managing remote stateDefine and refine deployment standards including environment promotion, rollback strategies, blue/green and canary releasesBuild and maintain container platforms (Docker, AWS ECS) with a focus on image security and runtime hardeningOwn the observability platform (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana) — design alerting strategies, define SLOs, and lead incident responseDesign and implement disaster recovery strategies; own RTO/RPO targets and ensure recovery readiness across critical servicesImplement and enforce security best practices including AWS security tooling, secrets management, and IAM policy designCollaborate with development teams to shorten feedback loops and make deployments more predictable and repeatableParticipate in on-call rotation and ensure 99.9% platform availability
