Position OverviewManages mechanical engineering activities for large-scale MEP projects, ensuring design verification, site execution, and commissioning comply with project specifications, QA/QC standards, HSE requirements, and authority approvals. Coordinates with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely and accurate delivery of mechanical systems.Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision & ExecutionSupervise and coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and LPG systems.Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to resolve site clashes and ensure smooth workflow.Verify quality of workmanship and material installation through regular inspections.Monitor site progress, manpower, and equipment to meet project timelines.Ensure timely completion of system commissioning and handover activities.2. Documentation & QA/QCMaintain and update project drawings, ITPs, MIRs/WIRs, and T&C logs.Ensure testing, inspection, and material approval processes meet QA/QC standards.Track and close Site Instructions (SI), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and Site Observation Reports (SOR).Verify that all quality records are properly documented and filed for audits.Support QA/QC engineers during inspections and ensure rectification of non-compliance.Maintain proper documentation for as-built and commissioning phases.3. Technical CoordinationReview design drawings, BOQs, and technical submittals for accuracy and compliance.Coordinate approvals and clarifications with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.Provide technical support to resolve on-site issues promptly.Ensure all materials and systems align with project specifications and authority requirements.Participate in technical meetings to align design intent with execution.Support the preparation of handover and closeout documentation.4. HSE ComplianceEnforce health, safety, and environmental standards at all work fronts.Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved HSE plans and procedures.Review and control work permits to maintain safe working conditions.Conduct toolbox talks and promote awareness of safety protocols.Ensure immediate reporting and corrective actions for unsafe conditions or incidents.Support HSE officers in implementing preventive safety measures.5. Reporting & CommunicationPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress and inspection reports.Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to management and consultants.Coordinate effectively among teams to ensure timely execution of project deliverables.Support preparation of T&C documentation, As-built drawings, and O&M manuals.Present updates in coordination meetings and track follow-up actions.Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment.6.
