The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in endocrinology, diabetes, hormonal disorders, and metabolic diseases, with a commitment to providing comprehensive, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. The successful candidate will work closely with diabetologists, internists, dietitians, diabetes educators, surgeons, gynecologists, nephrologists, cardiologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive endocrinology consultations and detailed metabolic assessments. Diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine, hormonal, diabetic, and metabolic disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, laboratory findings, and patient needs. Diagnose and manage Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and other forms of diabetes. Optimize diabetes treatment using appropriate oral medications, injectable therapies, and insulin regimens. Monitor patients using glucose monitoring technologies and support appropriate diabetes self-management. Manage diabetes-related complications and coordinate care with relevant specialties. Diagnose and manage thyroid disorders including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, and other thyroid conditions. Assess and manage pituitary, adrenal, parathyroid, and other hormonal disorders. Evaluate and manage patients with obesity, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, and related metabolic conditions. Assess patients with menstrual and hormonal disorders, including endocrine causes of reproductive problems where applicable. Manage endocrine disorders associated with osteoporosis, calcium imbalance, and metabolic bone disease. Review and interpret hormone profiles, glucose studies, HbA1c, thyroid function tests, lipid profiles, and other relevant laboratory investigations. Review and interpret ultrasound, CT, MRI, bone density scans, and other diagnostic studies where appropriate. Provide comprehensive counseling regarding nutrition, exercise, weight management, diabetes care, medication adherence, and lifestyle modification. Monitor treatment response and adjust medications according to clinical progress and laboratory findings. Coordinate multidisciplinary management of complex endocrine and metabolic conditions. Provide appropriate pre-operative endocrine assessment and optimization where required. Educate patients and families regarding chronic disease management, warning signs, medication use, and follow-up care. Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential medical records. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and continuing professional development. Requirements MBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification. Recognized postgraduate qualification in endocrinology, diabetes & endocrinology, or an equivalent specialty. Relevant post-specialization clinical experience. Strong experience in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolic medicine. Good knowledge of complex diabetes management and endocrine disorders. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Experience managing patients with multiple endocrine and metabolic conditions. Excellent communication and patient-management skills.
