Description

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will:
                             
Operate overhead yard crane and fill charge cars to recipe.                                
Charge the ABB furnace with purchased scrap, revert material, pig iron and carbon raiser.                                
Operate with understanding, ABB induction furnace.      
Transfer 6-ton ladle of iron via monorail and pour into Ajax furnace.                                
Repair refractory in ABB furnace, Ajax furnace, 2-ton ladle and 6-ton ladles.                                 
Add carbon and copper in accordance with Lab Technicians instructions.                                
Draw metal samples from ABB or Ajax furnace and deliver to the Met Lab.                                
Deliver iron to the Asea furnace via the transfer car.             
Operate fork lift truck, JLG lifting device, and Bobcat skid steer.                                
Participate in ABB furnace reline operation.  
Skim slag from the top of the ABB and Ajax furnaces and the ladles.                                
Perform a daily safety inspection of Lift Truck, Monorail Crane, Service Crane, and Yard Crane. 
Be trained in all equipment operation and refractory repair procedures. 
Perform all daily functions safely and with integrity.
Practice the principles of 5S+1 as required in the department.                        
Other duties as assigned.       

 For This Role, You Will Need:

High school diploma or G.E.D.                                 
Must pass a Lift Truck Operator safety training course and maintain a current license.
