Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, and a Professional Engineer license in Texas (or ability to obtain within six months). Must have 5+ years of water/wastewater design experience in municipal water, wastewater, water resource, and/or conveyance projects, preferably in the Central US region with an emphasis on the Texas market. Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, schedule, and budget are essential.

Who are we looking for?   

Our Central US Water business is growing throughout Texas! We're looking for an experienced Project Manager that is motivated to lead complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction. This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining client relationships, and delivering projects on time and within budget. 

You will also work with a team to support client development and strategic growth of the business both locally and regionally. The purpose is to build credible relationships with clients, teaming partners, and the community. This position will require a strong ability to manage and progress multiple fronts that require long-term development and commitment.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 

  • Assist in the development of facility and or utility master plans
  • Plan, design, and execute water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and engineering documents.
  • Conduct work to appropriate professional standards and to the firm’s QA/QC requirements. Participates in QA/QC programs for other projects as requested by managers.
  • Perform schedule reviews on construction projects and maintain/develop schedules for design and construction of assigned projects
  • Mentor junior engineers and project staff.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed 
  • Prepare proposal efforts for new business
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.

What you will bring to the team:

  •  Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license in Texas or ability to acquire upon six months of hiring date
  • 5+ years of water/wastewater design experience in municipal water, wastewater, water resource, and/or conveyance projects in the Central US region; preference to experience in the Texas market
  • Demonstrated project management experience, design management experience is a plus
  • Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail, schedule and budget
  • Ability to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner; must have strong technical writing skills
