We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Pathologist to join a leading healthcare facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely diagnostic pathology services, interpreting tissue and cellular specimens, preparing pathology reports, and collaborating with clinicians to support accurate diagnosis and effective patient management.
Key responsibilities
Perform and interpret histopathological and cytopathological examinations.
Examine biopsy, surgical, and other tissue specimens and provide accurate diagnoses.
Prepare clear and comprehensive pathology reports within required timelines.
Perform and interpret special stains and immunohistochemistry where applicable.
Review laboratory findings and correlate pathology results with clinical information.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical case discussions.
Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, physicians, radiologists, and other specialists.
Ensure proper specimen handling, processing, and documentation.
Maintain high standards of laboratory quality control and quality assurance.
Supervise and guide laboratory technologists and support staff where required.
Maintain accurate medical records and pathology documentation.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME).
Ensure compliance with healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety requirements.
