Requirements
Requires a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of relevant Quality/Inspection experience. Must have strong knowledge of ASME, API, and international codes/standards, with experience in static, rotating equipment, and packages. Prior experience in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry and with major EPC contractors is mandatory, along with strong skills in vendor inspection, procurement quality, and documentation management.
Description
Lead quality assurance and inspection activities for static, rotating and packaged equipment across procurement, vendor inspection and project execution, ensuring compliance with project specifications, QMS, ITPs and international standards.Key ResponsibilitiesReview procurement documents, POs, specifications, vendor ITPs, WPS and quality requirements.Develop project-specific QCPs, ITPs and ITRs for supplier and site activities.Establish inspection criticality, vendor quality requirements and TPI inspection scope.Coordinate pre-inspection meetings, vendor inspections, surveillance and shop testing.Monitor vendor inspectors and assess supplier QA/QC systems and capabilities.Review material certificates, inspection procedures, personnel qualifications and quality documentation.Verify equipment/material compliance with approved drawings, datasheets and specifications.Coordinate technical discrepancies, vendor queries, NCRs and corrective actions through closure.Issue and track NCRs, inspection reports, release notes and conformance documentation.Coordinate MRB compilation and timely submission in line with approved requirements.Liaise with discipline engineers, vendors, TPI inspectors, client/owner representatives and management.Support quality improvements and provide technical guidance to suppliers on testing and final documentation.RequirementsRequirementsDegree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 10 years relevant Quality/Inspection experience.Strong knowledge of ASME, API and international codes/standards.Experience with static, rotating equipment and packages.Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry experience mandatory.Previous experience with major EPC contractors required.Strong vendor inspection, procurement quality and documentation management skills.
