We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join a leading healthcare provider in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will provide specialized gastrointestinal and nutritional care for infants, children, and adolescents while working within a multidisciplinary pediatric healthcare team.
Key responsibilities
Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric gastrointestinal, liver, and nutritional disorders, including:
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Feeding and swallowing disorders
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
Celiac disease
Chronic abdominal pain
Constipation and functional bowel disorders
Gastrointestinal bleeding
Food allergies and intolerances
Pediatric liver disorders and related conditions
Growth and nutritional disorders
Perform and interpret pediatric gastroenterology procedures, including:
Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (OGD)
Colonoscopy
Biopsy procedures
Other diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic interventions (where credentialed)
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Manage complex nutritional needs, including enteral feeding and growth-related concerns.
Provide counseling and education to children and families regarding disease management and long-term care.
Collaborate with pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, dietitians, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists.
Participate in pediatric gastroenterology MDT meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing medical education (CME).
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DHA standards and hospital policies.
Mentor junior physicians and contribute to teaching and service development.

Qualifications & requirements
MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
Board certification in pediatrics with fellowship or recognized subspecialty qualification in pediatric gastroenterology.
Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience at consultant level.
Eligibility for or possession of a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) consultant license.
Strong expertise in pediatric GI disorders, nutrition, and pediatric endoscopy.
Excellent communication skills with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, family-centered care.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience working in internationally accredited children’s hospitals or tertiary pediatric centers.
Advanced training in pediatric endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, or nutrition is an advantage.
UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
