Job DescriptionPlan and deliver engaging, purposeful and appropriately challenging PE lessons in accordance with the British Curriculum and school curriculum expectations.Develop pupils physical skills, coordination, fitness, confidence and understanding of healthy lifestyles.Provide a broad range of sporting and physical activities appropriate to the age, ability and interests of pupils.Differentiate teaching and activities effectively to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities, including pupils with additional learning needs.Establish a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment that encourages participation and enjoyment.Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support active learning and pupil engagement.Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience, leadership and respect through PE and sporting activities.Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and use assessment information to inform future planning and teaching.Provide appropriate feedback to pupils to support improvement and development.Ensure lessons reflect appropriate progression of knowledge and physical skills across Key Stage 2.Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of pupils during all PE lessons and sporting activities.Conduct appropriate risk assessments and follow school procedures relating to the use of sports facilities and equipment.Ensure PE equipment and facilities are used safely and responsibly.Follow the school's safeguarding, child protection, behaviour and health and safety policies.Maintain appropriate supervision of pupils at all times.Skills DescriptionQualification:Bachelor/Master in Physical EducationSkiils:Sound understanding of the principles and expectations of the British Curriculum for PE at Key Stage 2.Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.Ability to differentiate effectively and support pupils with diverse learning needs.Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
