You will have the opportunity to learn how to build and work with both batch and real-time data processing pipelines. You will liaise with other departments - such as product & technology, core business verticals, trust & safety, finance, and others - to enable them to succeed.In this role, you will:Perform raw data integrations with primary and third-party systemsPerform Data warehouse modelling for operational and application data layersResponsible for development in the Amazon Redshift clusterWork on SQL development as part of an agile team workflowResponsible for ETL design and implementation in Matillion ETLWork on real-time data pipelines and applications using serverless and managed AWS services such as Lambda, Kinesis, API Gateway, REST Api, etcDesign and implement data products enabling data-driven features or business solutionsEnsure Data quality, system stability and securityMaintain coding standards in SQL, Python, and ETL designBuild data dashboards and advanced visualisations in Periscope Data with a focus on UX, simplicity and usabilityWork with other departments on data products - i.e. product & technology, marketing & growth, finance, core business, advertising and othersBe part of and contribute to a strong team culture and an ambition to be on the cutting edge of big dataParticipate in the early morning ETL status check rotaBe a team player by taking ownership of tasks assigned to you and working on them. Have end-to-end project ownership and manage stakeholders for the sameRequirementsA top-ranking academic background in a technical discipline such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics. 2+ years of experience working with customer-centric data at big data-scale, preferably in an online / e-commerce context1+ years of experience with one or more programming languages, especially Python and SQLExperience working with a modern big data warehouse with ETL and data visualisationKnowledge of relational and dimensional data modelsKnowledge of terminal operations and Linux workflowsGood knowledge of SQL across a variety of relational data warehousing technologies, especially in cloud data warehousing (e.g. Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Vertica, etc.)Ability to communicate insights and findings to a non-technical audienceHighly driven and self-motivatedEntrepreneurial spirit and ability to think creatively; strong curiosity and a striving for continuous learningThrive in a fast-paced, innovative environmentLiving the team values: Simpler.
