Main purpose of the role
Simmons Adaptive are looking for an experienced legal or compliance professional to support one of our clients based in the UAE with a particular focus on export controls, trade compliance and emerging AI regulation.
Person specification
Qualified lawyer or legally trained compliance professional.
Strong experience in export controls (EAR, dual-use, sanctions, trade compliance).
Experience in technology, AI, cloud, or advanced computing sectors.
Compliance programme design and management.
Internal investigations and ethics programmes.
Third-party due diligence, AML, anti-bribery and corruption.
Ideally already based in the UAE.
You are a problem solver and offer a collaborative approach.
You are able to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
You are able to work quickly and effectively to tight deadlines.
You have excellent organisation skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workloads.
