Strong ICU experience with exposure to critically ill medical and surgical patients, including experience in mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced resuscitation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in critical care management, advanced life support, and multidisciplinary intensive care. Specialist critical care medicine is an established UAE licensing title. Key responsibilities Assess, diagnose, stabilize, and manage critically ill patients in the ICU. Manage patients with acute respiratory failure, sepsis, shock, multi-organ failure, cardiac emergencies, and neurological emergencies. Provide advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation, and hemodynamic support. Manage patients requiring invasive and non-invasive ventilation. Monitor and manage critically ill patients using appropriate clinical and hemodynamic parameters. Interpret ABGs, ECGs, laboratory investigations, X-rays, CT scans, and other diagnostic studies. Manage fluid, electrolyte, acid-base, and nutritional requirements of critically ill patients. Perform critical care procedures within the scope of training and privileges. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, neurologists, pulmonologists, and other specialists. Participate in rapid response and emergency resuscitation when required. Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plans. Maintain accurate ICU documentation and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare standards. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and continuing medical education. Requirements Qualifications & requirements MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
