Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.8–12 years of relevant experience in warehouse and logistics operations, preferably within the retail industry.Proven experience managing warehouse operations and fleet management.Experience managing large-volume inventory and distribution across multiple retail stores.Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory control, transportation, and distribution.Experience managing and developing operational teams.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office/Excel.Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple priorities.Strong understanding of health, safety, and operational compliance requirements.
Description
Warehouse OperationsManage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatching, and returns.Ensure products are stored safely, accurately, and according to company standards.Oversee inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to stores.Ensure proper inventory handling and minimize stock discrepancies, damages, and losses.Conduct and supervise regular stock counts and cycle counts and investigate inventory variances.Establish and maintain efficient warehouse processes, layouts, and workflows.Monitor warehouse capacity and ensure effective utilization of available space.Ensure proper handling of products, particularly fragile, high-value, and sensitive retail items.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and operational procedures.Identify opportunities to improve warehouse productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.Fleet ManagementManage the company fleet and ensure the availability and proper utilization of vehicles.Plan and coordinate daily delivery schedules based on store requirements and operational priorities.Monitor vehicle utilization, delivery routes, fuel consumption, and transportation costs.Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, licensed, and available for operations.Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for the fleet.Monitor driver performance, attendance, safety, and compliance with company policies.Coordinate with external transportation providers when additional fleet capacity is required.Ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and within agreed timelines.Investigate delivery delays, vehicle incidents, and operational issues and implement corrective actions.Team ManagementLead, supervise, and develop warehouse and fleet teams.Set clear objectives and performance expectations for team members.Monitor productivity and operational performance.Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training and development needs.Ensure proper staffing levels and shift planning according to business requirements.Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.Retail & Cross-Functional CoordinationCoordinate closely with Retail Operations to ensure stores receive products according to their requirements and schedules.Work with Commercial and Supply Chain teams to align warehouse and distribution activities with business plans.Coordinate with Finance regarding inventory, transportation costs, and operational expenses.Support new store openings by ensuring products, fixtures, and required materials are delivered on time.Ensure urgent store requirements are handled efficiently without disrupting planned operations
