About the role
A leading healthcare provider in the UAE is seeking a highly skilled pain medicine consultant to join its growing clinical team. The role focuses on multidisciplinary pain management, interventional pain procedures, rehabilitation, and comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a modern healthcare environment with experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals, and multidisciplinary medical teams.
Role overview
The pain medicine consultant will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with a wide range of pain conditions, while working closely with other medical and rehabilitation specialists.
Key responsibilities
Assess and manage acute, chronic, cancer-related, neuropathic, and musculoskeletal pain conditions.
Perform image-guided pain procedures including nerve blocks, epidural injections, radiofrequency ablation, and joint interventions.
Develop multimodal pain management plans involving medication optimisation, rehabilitation, psychology, and lifestyle support.
Coordinate care with orthopaedics, neurology, oncology, rheumatology, and rehabilitation teams.
Educate patients on long-term pain control, functional restoration, and safe analgesic use.
Maintain high standards of consent, clinical documentation, procedural safety, and patient outcomes.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
