Role: Pavement EngineerLocation: SharjahIndustry: Aviation Salary: 21,000 AEDSummary:Designs, evaluates, constructs and manages heavy-duty pavements. The role requires expertise in flexible and rigid pavement structures, load modeling, and strict adherence to international safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Design & Analysis: Perform structural design for flexible, rigid, and composite pavements.Pavement Evaluation: Conduct condition surveys, non-destructive testing (NDT), and load-bearing assessments to calculate Classification Number ratings.Material Selection: Specify high-performance asphalt mixtures, concrete specifications, subgrade stabilization, and base course layers suited for heavy loads and local climatic conditions.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and rehabilitation strategies comply with guidelines.Project Coordination: Work alongside geotechnical, drainage, and lighting teams to align works with continuous operations.Construction: Monitor site construction, review contractor material submittals, and inspect paving execution for quality and safety compliance.Qualifications & Skills:Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's in Geotechnical or Pavement Engineering preferred).Experience: 5+ years of dedicated civil infrastructure experience, with at least 3 years focused specifically on pavement design, evaluation and construction.
