Build the digital tools that help advisors serve clients faster and more effectively. You will own Japan’s advisor tools roadmap and delivery in a highly collaborative, global environment. You will translate business needs into clear outcomes and releases that improve engagement and efficiency. You will help shape responsible AI-enabled capabilities that make everyday workflows simpler and more intuitive.

As a Digital Product Owner, Vice President in the Asset Management (AM) Digital and Distribution team, you will own the product strategy and delivery for Japan advisor tools used by financial advisors and AM platforms. You will work in an Agile delivery model and partner with Japan stakeholders, regional partners, and global technology teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences. You will balance local market needs, including language and regulatory considerations, with shared regional and global platform standards.

Job responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap for advisor tools in Japan aligned to digital transformation priorities
  • Own the product backlog, including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization decisions that maximize measurable outcomes
  • Lead discovery and refinement with business, design, and engineering teams to ensure requirements are clear, testable, and outcome-driven
  • Deliver Japan-specific capabilities such as localization, workflow fit, and release readiness across environments
  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery from intake through build, testing, release, and post-release iteration to ensure quality and predictability
  • Partner with Technology to manage dependencies, make scope trade-offs, and remove blockers early
  • Act as the primary product interface for Japan stakeholders, driving timely decisions and transparent expectation management
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and controls partners to align delivery to applicable requirements and policies
  • Monitor digital and automation trends and translate them into practical roadmap opportunities for advisor tools
  • Lead AI-enabled enhancements (for example, search, insights, summarization, and workflow automation) with appropriate governance and validation
  • Define success metrics and provide clear updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to regional and local leadership

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10 years of digital product management experience
  • Fluent Japanese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and delivery teams as this role will be supporting end to end delivery in English and Japanese.
  • Demonstrated experience owning an Agile backlog, including story writing, refinement, and release planning
  • Proven end-to-end delivery experience across discovery, build, testing, and rollout
  • Strong understanding of investment products, platforms, and advisor workflows, or comparable experience delivering complex financial digital tools
  • Experience leading in a matrixed environment and balancing local needs with shared regional and global platform priorities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including driving clarity and decisions under ambiguity
  • Data-driven mindset with experience defining metrics and using insights to iterate product decisions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Preferably in financial services, wealth or asset management, or business-to-business platforms
  • Experience delivering advisor tools, portfolio analytics, or research and insights platforms for business users
  • Familiarity with Japan regulatory and compliance considerations impacting digital journeys, disclosures, and content governance
  • Experience with personalization, experimentation, and analytics instrumentation for digital products and platforms
  • Practical experience delivering AI-enabled features such as search, recommendations, summarization, or workflow automation
  • Experience partnering with design teams on information architecture and usability for complex products and platforms
  • Experience operating across regional and global teams on shared platforms with constrained capacity
