This role is suited for experienced professionals committed to providing advanced surgical care for patients with cancer and complex oncological conditions. The consultant surgical oncologist will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing individualized surgical treatment plans, performing complex oncological procedures, and providing comprehensive perioperative care. Collaboration with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and multidisciplinary cancer teams is essential to achieving optimal patient outcomes. Key responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized surgical treatment plans for patients with cancer. Perform advanced oncological procedures, including complex and minimally invasive cancer surgeries where appropriate. Provide comprehensive preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for oncology patients. Manage complex surgical oncology cases involving gastrointestinal, breast, hepatobiliary, colorectal, or other cancer conditions. Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with oncology specialists to determine appropriate treatment strategies. Monitor patients after surgery and manage postoperative complications and cancer-related surgical conditions. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established patient safety and quality standards. Stay updated with advancements in surgical oncology, cancer treatment techniques, and evidence-based practices.
