As an experienced investment banking professional, you will develop strong relationships with corporate and financial institution clients and work across multiple products. You will execute deals across the spectrum of our banking offerings, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity and debt capital raises. This role sits within the Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) banking team in Hong Kong.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with senior bankers to originate, structure, and execute financing and advisory transactions across M&A, IPOs, bonds, loans, and structured products.
- Develop compelling content for marketing and execution materials.
- Build financial models and perform detailed valuation analyses for pitches and live projects.
- Interact with senior team members and client management teams to execute transactions, and identify and manage risks throughout the deal cycle.
- Guide, review, and coordinate the analytical work of junior bankers to advance marketing and execution processes.
- Liaise with internal and external parties on transactions (e.g., lawyers, accountants, counterparties).
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior bankers and research analysts.
- Lead client negotiations, the Q&A process, and management presentations/interviews.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 1 year of front-office investment banking experience
- Fluency in Korean to liaise with Korean-speaking stakeholders.
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, and business-writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities.
