Job description
A prestigious government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced senior specialist / consultant – oral and dental surgeon to join its dental and surgical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly qualified oral and dental surgeon to work within a well-established government healthcare environment, providing comprehensive oral surgical care and contributing to clinical excellence.
We are particularly interested in candidates with internationally recognized qualifications, including UK CCT, Western qualified, American board, Australian board, and South African board credentials.
Key responsibilities
Provide specialist/consultant-level assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients requiring oral and dental surgical care.
Perform oral and dentoalveolar surgical procedures according to clinical expertise.
Manage complex oral surgical cases and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Perform surgical extractions, impacted tooth management, minor oral surgery, and other relevant procedures.
Assess patients pre-operatively and provide appropriate post-operative care and follow-up.
Diagnose and manage oral conditions requiring surgical intervention.
Work collaboratively with dentists, orthodontists, prosthodontists, periodontists, maxillofacial surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records and clinical documentation.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to teaching, supervision, and mentoring of junior dental and clinical staff.
Promote patient safety, infection control, and high standards of clinical practice.
Stay updated with advances in oral surgery, dental technology, treatment techniques, and evidence-based practices.
Requirements
Recognized dental degree such as BDS, DDS, DMD, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Recognized postgraduate qualification in oral surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, or a relevant dental specialty.
Significant post-specialty clinical experience.
Strong experience in oral and dentoalveolar surgical procedures.
Experience managing complex oral surgical cases.
Strong clinical judgment and treatment-planning skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
