Description
We are looking for someone who can own our event strategy — deciding which events are worth the investment, and executing participation once approved. Works closely with the marketing team to keep event choices aligned with marketing objectives. This is a high-responsibility role: event commitments are large investments, and this person will be the one identifying and justifying where that money goes.Responsibilities:- Research, identify, and select which events we should participate in and in what capacity.- Build the business case for each event — audience, reach, opportunity — and present it to leadership.- Own full end-to-end execution once an event is approved — see below, this is not a hand-off role.- Keep event strategy aligned with our broader marketing objectives.- Build and lead an events team as scope grows (solo role today).Full Execution OwnershipOnce an event is selected, this person owns every part of the participation from start to finish — not a single hand-off, but sustained ownership through the whole event. That includes:- Hiring and leading any freelancers needed on the ground in each event location.- Owning the relationship with the event organizer.- Leading all logistics for our on-site participation.- If there's a booth: its design, the on-site experience, giveaways, and the overall activation concept.- Deciding what kind of stage presence we should have.- Defining what contacts/leads the event is meant to generate. This requires coordinating directly across teams, not just within events:- Finance — to release payments.- Design — for everything that needs to be produced for the event.- Sales — to make sure every lead generated actually lands in the pipeline.
