Job DescriptionWe are seeking an inspirational, dynamic, and experienced Teacher Arabic A to lead and elevate our Arabic Language department for native speakers.The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for driving academic excellence, developing an innovative and culturally rich curriculum aligned with UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) and KHDA inspection frameworks, and inspiring a passion for the Arabic language, literature, and UAE national identity across the school.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Department ManagementProvide strategic direction and daily operational leadership for the Arabic A teaching team.Formulate, implement, and monitor the Departmental Action Plan in line with whole-school improvement priorities.Ensure full regulatory compliance with UAE Ministry of Education, KHDA, and school governing body standards.Manage departmental budgets, resources, and learning materials efficiently to support high-quality instructional delivery.Curriculum Planning & Academic StandardsOversee the design, vertical alignment, and continuous enhancement of the Arabic A curriculum across all key stages/phases.Integrate modern 21st-century pedagogical approaches, critical thinking, and inquiry-based learning into lesson planning.Ensure robust tracking and analysis of student attainment and progress data to inform interventions and raise academic standards.Drive assessment moderation, standardisation, and rigorous internal/external reporting.Teaching, Learning & CoachingModel outstanding classroom practice and promote high expectations for student learning, behaviour, and engagement.Conduct regular lesson observations, learning walks, and work scrutinies, providing constructive, actionable feedback to teachers.Mentor and coach departmental staff through tailored Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and performance management processes.Support teachers in differentiating instruction for diverse learners, including Students of Determination and Gifted & Talented students.National Identity & Cultural EnrichmentChampion UAE heritage, values, and national identity throughout the Arabic curriculum and wider school activities.Organize and lead key cultural, national, and literary events (e.g., UAE National Day, Flag Day, Arabic Language Week, reading competitions).Foster strong partnerships with parents to support students language development at home and celebrate student achievements.Skills DescriptionEssential RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Literature, or Education specializing in Arabic from a recognized university.Teaching Credential: Valid teaching license or qualification.Leadership Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of successful teacher or coordinator in an international or private school in the UAE.Teaching Experience: Minimum 5 years of teaching Arabic A (native speakers) across Primary and/or Secondary phases.Regulatory Expertise: Thorough understanding of UAE MoE curriculum standards, KHDA inspection frameworks, and national agenda indicators.Language Proficiency: Native fluency in Modern Standard Arabic (written and spoken) with professional proficiency in English.Desirable Skills & QualitiesBachelor's/ Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or Arabic Studies.Demonstrated track record of raising student attainment in external inspection ratings.Strong digital literacy and experience embedding educational technology into language acquisition.Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
