Job PurposeThe Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's network infrastructure. The position ensures the availability, performance, reliability, and security of wired and wireless network services and supports the organization's business and technology requirements.The role provides advanced technical support for network-related incidents, leads network troubleshooting and improvement activities, and works with internal IT teams and external service providers to maintain a stable and secure network environment.Key ResponsibilitiesA. Network Administration and InfrastructureAdminister and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and other network infrastructure.Configure, manage, and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers, access points, and related network devices.Manage network services, including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, IP addressing, routing, and network access controls.Monitor network availability, performance, capacity, and utilization.Identify network bottlenecks, performance issues, and potential points of failure and implement corrective actions.Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, IP address records, and technical documentation.Ensure network infrastructure remains aligned with approved architecture and technical standards.B. Network SecurityImplement and maintain network security controls in coordination with the Information Security function.Configure and maintain firewall rules, VPN access, network segmentation, access controls, and security policies within the scope of the role.Monitor network traffic and security events for unusual or suspicious activity.Support the investigation and resolution of network-related security incidents.Ensure network devices are maintained with approved firmware, patches, and security updates.Apply the principle of least privilege when configuring network access.C. Network Projects and ImplementationParticipate in the planning, design, implementation, and testing of network infrastructure projects.Configure and deploy network devices, wireless infrastructure, VPN solutions, and network services.Support network upgrades, expansions, migrations, and technology refresh projects.Assess network requirements for new systems, facilities, applications, and services.Prepare technical specifications and contribute to the evaluation of network equipment and solutions.Coordinate with vendors and contractors during network implementation and maintenance activities.Conduct testing and validation following network changes and implementations.F. Network Availability and Business ContinuitySupport the implementation and maintenance of network redundancy and high-availability solutions.Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network services.Perform network backup and configuration recovery activities in accordance with established procedures.Test network failover and recovery procedures when required.Identify network infrastructure risks and recommend measures to improve resilience.G.
