Our leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced and highly skilled consultant radiologist to join its multidisciplinary diagnostic imaging team. The successful candidate will provide accurate and timely interpretation of a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies and work closely with clinicians to support diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management. Current UAE roles commonly include X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, image-guided procedures where applicable, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key responsibilities
Interpret and report X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and other diagnostic imaging studies according to expertise and clinical requirements.
Provide accurate, clear, and timely radiology reports to support clinical decision-making.
Review imaging findings and provide appropriate diagnostic recommendations.
Communicate urgent and critical findings promptly to referring physicians.
Perform or supervise image-guided procedures where appropriately qualified and within approved clinical privileges.
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, oncologists, emergency physicians, and other specialists in multidisciplinary patient management.
Recommend additional imaging investigations when clinically appropriate.
Ensure appropriate imaging protocols, contrast safety, radiation protection, and patient safety standards are maintained.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and radiological documentation.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions, clinical audits, peer review, and quality improvement initiatives.
Support the implementation of new imaging technologies, protocols, and reporting standards.
Supervise, guide, and mentor junior radiologists and radiology staff where required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in diagnostic imaging and radiology practice.
Requirements
MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
Recognized postgraduate qualification in radiology/diagnostic radiology.
Consultant-level qualification recognized by the relevant UAE medical licensing authority.
Relevant post-specialization experience in radiology.
Strong expertise in interpreting multiple imaging modalities, particularly CT, MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray.
Experience in fluoroscopy, mammography, or image-guided procedures is an advantage.
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and reporting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
