This role involves operating manual and semi-automated machine tools to meet strict dimensional, quality, and safety standards. The machinist works closely with maintenance and engineering teams to support plant reliability and continuous operations.Responsibilities:Operate manual machining equipment including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses Set up machines, select appropriate tools, and determine machining methods Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications Machine, modify, and repair components such as shafts, flanges, valves, pumps, and fittings Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and tolerance compliance Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machining equipment Follow HSE, safety, and quality procedures applicable to petrochemical and oil & gas environments Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance teams to meet operational schedules
