The specialist oral & dental surgeon is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of oral, dental, and maxillofacial conditions through surgical and non-surgical interventions. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, performing complex dental surgical procedures, promoting oral health, and ensuring compliance with international clinical standards and UAE healthcare regulations within a reputed private hospital. Requirements Diagnose and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders affecting the teeth, jaws, oral cavity, and facial structures. Perform oral and dental surgical procedures, including surgical tooth extractions, impacted wisdom tooth removal, dental implant placement, biopsies, cyst and lesion excision, pre-prosthetic surgery, and management of oral infections. Evaluate patients through comprehensive clinical examinations, radiographic imaging, and diagnostic investigations. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Provide pre-operative consultation, obtain informed consent, and deliver comprehensive post-operative care and follow-up. Manage dental emergencies, oral trauma, and acute infections requiring surgical intervention. Perform minor oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures within the approved scope of practice. Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive dental care, treatment options, and post-operative instructions. Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient records using the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Collaborate with orthodontists, prosthodontists, periodontists, ENT specialists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols, sterilization standards, radiation safety guidelines, and patient safety policies. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and continuing medical education (CME) activities. Maintain patient confidentiality while adhering to professional ethics and regulatory requirements. Participate in on-call duties and emergency coverage as assigned.
