Our Multi National Design Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Interior Design Coordinator to join their team in Abu Dhabi working on a high profile branded residences development. Successful candidates will have strong Interior Design, Coordination experience and major project exposure in 5* hotel, hospitality and mixed use high rise towers projects and have worked for a recognised consultancy company previously
This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 month contract position hire as an outsource, employed by J10 Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
The Design Coordinator Interior Design plays a pivotal role in supporting and coordinating the creative and technical aspects of interior design projects from concept through to execution. This position involves working closely with the design team, architects, project managers, and clients to ensure design intent is maintained, deadlines are met, and documentation is accurate. The role demands a balance of creativity, organization, and communication skills to help bring design visions to life while aligning with project goals.
• Coordinate interior design activities across different project phases, ensuring alignment with client objectives and timelines.
• Prepare, organize, and update interior design drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Act as a liaison between the design team, consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
• Track project deliverables and deadlines, following up with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
• Maintain sample libraries and stay up to date with current design trends, products, and materials.
• Assist in quality control by reviewing site installations to ensure adherence to design intent.
• Support in preparing documentation for authority approvals and tender processes.
• Manage and archive all design-related documentation systematically.
• Attend site meetings and design reviews, preparing minutes and follow-up action lists.
Requirements:
Interior Design Coordinator Experience:
• Education: Bachelor in Interior Design, Architecture or related
